Dr. Kimeka G. Campbell is a nationally recognized executive consultant, talk show host, and community builder based in Harrisburg, PA. Her work bridges the worlds of political strategy, healthcare operations, nonprofit leadership, and cultural organizing. For over a decade, she has been creating spaces of belonging, justice, and impact—especially for Black and Brown communities in Central Pennsylvania and beyond.

From the Capitol steps to the campaign trail, and from roundtable discussions to citywide celebrations, Dr. Campbell’s mission is clear:

“To create a sense of belonging—for our people, our communities, and our futures.”

Strategic Leadership Across Sectors

Dr. Campbell provides high-impact consulting in politics, healthcare systems, and nonprofit transformation. Her portfolio includes national advocacy groups, major hospital systems, and grassroots coalitions. She helps organizations center equity, streamline operations, and build toward sustainable change.

She previously served as Director of Revenue Cycle – Billing & Utilization at Hamilton Health Center, a multicultural Federally Qualified Health Center in Harrisburg, where she led operational redesigns that supported equitable care for thousands of underserved patients.

Co-Founder, YPOC – Young Professionals of Color, Greater Harrisburg

Dr. Campbell co-founded Young Professionals of Color (YPOC) with her husband, Basir Vincent, to empower Black and Brown professionals across the Harrisburg region. For over seven years, YPOC has:

  • Hosted quarterly leadership workshops

  • Created dynamic networking and cultural spaces

  • Led community service projects, like the Adopt-a-Classroom program

  • Organized the region’s premier Juneteenth HBG celebration

In 2022, she led the largest Emancipation Day event Central PA had ever seen. By 2024, Juneteenth HBG expanded to a week-long celebration including concerts, community panels, youth events, and citywide engagement.

Talk Show Host & Creative Catalyst

In 2021, Dr. Campbell launched Black NewsBeat, a live show produced in collaboration with OpenStage. Black NewsBeat fuses civic storytelling with local talent—featuring poetry, music, and cultural commentary in a format that uplifts Black brilliance and builds community dialogue.

Episodes air live twice monthly and tackle the creative, cultural, and political pulse of Harrisburg’s Black community. Black NewsBeat earned a Silver Anthem Award for its powerful impact in media and storytelling.

Dr. Campbell’s work has been covered by PennLive, The Burg, Central Penn Business Journal, City & State PA, NPR/WITF, WGAL 8, WHP CBS 21, and ABC 27.

In February 2025, PennLive honored her as one of its Trailblazers & Trendsetters—a list of Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and advocates shaping Central Pennsylvania during Black History Month.
